We introduce to you a glass jalousie sign made somewhere in the 1960’s, with the words “Athens Lunatic Asylum”, in black and gold print. Athens Lunatic Asylum was a mental health institution in Athens, Ohio that was established from 1873 to 1993. This hospital focused on different patients including Civil War Veterans, Children and many others. This sign measures about 32 inches long and about 3.5 inches wide. Please note that these signs are in like new condition, but can have imperfections to the making, such as scratches to the paint, and minor chipping into the corners. However despite these imperfections this is a perfect addition to anyone looking for a historical piece to their home, office, or business!
