Up for sale was a nice collection of antique paper from the late 1800s early 1900s from the lake Erie and western railroad company. Included in the lot is a statement of claim certificates most likely from picking up mail. Also a letter from the vice president concerning owing stock of over a half $1 million which was a lot of money back in 1893 along with a receipt of steel and iron and other things picked up. Also included is a letter about fines for failure to collect mail, the sale of locomotives, and a two page letter from 1887 that accounts for maintenance And other expenses by the railroad. I’ve also thrown in two unused interchange reports from the Indianapolis Union railway company. This is a really nice collection.
