2 Brass Coat of Arms Tile

Here are 2 unusual antique brass plates.  These tiles appear to be very old.  They have 2 lions against a shield that has a crown on top of it.  There is also what looks like a sun inside the shield.  The other item I cannot figure out what it is.  The plates measure almost 10 inches by 8 inches (see ruler measurement in photos).
